Privacy Policy

Plain-English summary of what we collect and why.

This policy explains what information Dining Credit collects when you visit dining.credit, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Dining Credit is the publisher of this site. You can reach us at hello@dining.credit. For GDPR purposes we act as the data controller for information collected via this website.

2. What we collect

  • Usage analytics via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device type, referral source, and anonymised interaction events.
  • Search Console data via Google Search Console to understand which search terms bring visitors to the site.
  • Affiliate tracking: when you click an outbound affiliate link, the affiliate network (e.g. Daisycon) may set a cookie so the merchant can attribute a subsequent purchase to us.
  • Email you send us: if you write to hello@dining.credit, we keep the correspondence to reply.

We do not require accounts, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run behavioural advertising.

3. Legal basis (UK/EU visitors)

We rely on legitimate interests for basic analytics that help us improve the site, and on your consent (via the affiliate network's cookie notice on the merchant site) for affiliate tracking cookies.

4. Cookies

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*).
  • Affiliate cookies set on the merchant's site after you click an outbound link. We never set these ourselves.

You can block cookies in your browser or opt out of Google Analytics via Google's opt-out add-on.

5. Third parties

We share limited data with:

  • Google (Analytics, Search Console)
  • Our affiliate networks (Daisycon and any future partners) — only click data on outbound affiliate links.
  • Our hosting provider (Cloudflare / Lovable) for infrastructure and DDoS protection.

6. Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@dining.credit. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be noted at the top.
